About INSPIRE

    INSPIRE Professional Academy is a training academy focused on developing and nurturing ACCA lecturers and tutors to become excellent and effective in delivering lectures and tutorials for ACCA programmes. INSPIRE brings in a very select group of highly effective, result-oriented and dedicated trainers. Selection of trainers is done based on merits, performance and good track record.

    INSPIRE is appointed by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) as Recognised Tutor Training Academy. The Academy is given the mandate to provide training to those teaching or wish to teach the ACCA qualification to be competent teachers of the ACCA qualification. The programme structure, approach and high-standard contents have been approved by ACCA.

      Academy Director

      Lee Sikweng

       

      Lee holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from University of Melbourne, Australia. He is also a fellow member of CPA Australia. Lee has almost 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry in various capacities culminating as a Director in Mobil Oil Malaysia Sdn Bhd. His last role in the industry was as a project management consultant in Shell Asia Pacific implementing Global Streamline Processes and Global SAP. He served in various countries such as Australia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, the UK and the USA.

      Prior to setting up of this Academy, Lee was the Head of Centre for Professional Accounting Programmes at HELP College of Arts and Technology for five years, where he started the ACCA and CAT programme as a green field project and successfully led the College to achieve the ACCA Approved Learning Partner – Platinum status within a short period of four years.

      Dr Siva Subramanian s/o A.R. Nair

       

      Dr Siva is a fellow member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia (CTIM) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He holds an MBA (Accountancy) and a PhD from the University of Malaya. Dr Siva has more than 10 years of tax experience working in corporate and public practice prior to embarking his career in education. He has more than 24 years of experience teaching ACCA, professional programmes and academic degrees at various universities and colleges.

      Oviyan Ilancheran

       

      Oviyan is a fellow member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Specialising in financial management subjects, Oviyan has more than 23 years of teaching experience in ACCA and other professional programmes in Brunei, Vietnam, India and Malaysia.

      Associate Professor Faridah Ahmad

       

      Assoc Prof Faridah is a fellow member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a fellow member of the Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. She has more than 3 decades of teaching experience specialising in taxation, providing training to corporate clients, universities and colleges. Faridah also provides consultancy services and was an active member of the ACCA Malaysia Small-and-Medium Entities Committee.

      Fang Miang Foong, Joe

       

      Joe is an affiliate of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and holds a Master’s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Gloucestershire, United Kingdom. He specialises in financial reporting and corporate reporting subjects. Joe has been lecturing ACCA for more than 16 years at various institutions in Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.

      Sivasathish Sivanandam

       

      Siva is a member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). He has more than 8 years of experience teaching ACCA. Siva specialises in Governance Risk and Ethics, Business Analysis and Audit and Assurance subject papers. He has remarkable record of producing prize winners for the subjects he taught at national and international level

      Chow Kim Tai

       

      Chow is a fellow member of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants), a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, holds a Post-graduate Certificate in Finance from Heriott-Watt University, United Kingdom and an MBA (Finance) from Charles Stuart University, Australia. He specialises in performance management subjects and has more than 20 years of lecturing experience, providing training to corporate clients as well as lecturing in various institutions in Hong Kong, China, Vietnam, Brunei, Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

      Stephy Lim

       

      Stephy is an affiliate of ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). She has more than 10 years of teaching experience in ACCA papers and other professional qualifications, in various countries such as Malaysia, Vietnam and China.

      Ken Woo

       

      Ken is an MBA degree holder from Heriot-Watt University, Edinburgh, Scotland completed in 1996. He has 30 years of banking experience in 5 leading banks in the country before embarking into the training arena. The last 7 years was spent in a bank’s training department, specializing in soft skills and team building. Over the years he has sharpened his knowledge and skills in the area of teaching/ facilitating the younger groups, especially those new to the working world (new staff) as well as students in universities. As a Corporate Trainer, one of his major strengths is the ability to conduct coaching sessions, both for in-house programs and personal one to one coaching, using negotiation and conflict management techniques. He is a highly motivated individual, energetic and pleasant disposition.
